Elizabeth F. "Betty" Boxler

Elizabeth F.,”Betty,” Boxler,  82, Johnstown, died March 14, 2017 at Cambria Care Center.   She was born September 17, 1934 in Johnstown, the daughter of the late Felix A. and Elizabeth (Vogel) Boxler.  Preceded in death by brother, Raymond J. Boxler and sister, Mildred A. Boxler.  Betty retired from the housekeeping department of the former Mercy Hospital with 35 years of service.  She was an avid bingo player and loved her neighbors.  Betty was a member of the Brownstown Volunteer Fire Company Ladies’ Auxiliary, the Women’s Independent Bowling League and a former member of St. Michael Catholic Church.  Friends will be received from 1 PM until time of funeral service at 2 PM, Tuesday, at Picking-Treece-Bennett Mortuary, Inc., 921 Menoher Blvd., Rev. Clarence S. Bridges officiating. Interment Grandview Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to a charity of one’s choice, in Betty’s memory.
