 Frank Popp, 91, Laurel View Village, Davidsville, died August 18. 2016.  He was born July 8, 1925, in Vintondale, the son of the late John F. and Anna (Risko) Popp.  Preceded in death by great-grandson, Easton VanEgdom; sisters, Mary Fatula and Helen Labosky; brothers, John, Mike, Charles and Steve. Survived by loving wife of 69 years, Rose (Risko) Popp and children, Ruth Ann Blenden and husband, Elton and Marsha Jean Carr and husband, James; grandchildren, Courtney (Blenden) Getty and husband, Earl, Stacy (Blenden) VanEgdom and husband, Jared, James Carr, III, Angela (Carr) Yoder and husband, Joel and Franklin Carr and wife, Kelly; great-grandchildren, Bella and Evan Getty, Enoch and Chase VanEgdom, Nicolas and Christopher Yoder, Brooklyn and Piper Carr.  Also survived by sister-in-laws, Irene Popp, Thelma Popp and Pauline Tate.  Frank graduated from East Conemaugh High School, Class of 1943 and he worked in Popp’s Food Market.  Frank served in the First Air Commandos in China-Burma-India, during World War II.  He was employed by Prudential Insurance Company and SMS Furniture. Frank was also a charter member of Lorain-Moxham Lions for 33 years, past president of Life Underwriters, founder and president of the Conemaugh-Franklin Businessmen’s Association and was the organized chairman of the Conemaugh Alumni Reunions. In additions, he was president of the Laurel View Council.  Frank was a member of  Grove Avenue Methodist Church, serving as a Sunday School Teacher for 40 years and where funeral service will be held at 11 AM, Monday.  Rev. Dirk Wooten officiating.  Friends will be received from 1-4 and 6-8, PM, Sunday, at Picking-Treece-Bennett Mortuary, Inc., 921 Menoher Blvd.  Interment Grandview Cemetery, where military honors will be conducted courtesy of General Charles T. Menoher V.F.W. Post 155.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Grove Avenue United Methodist Church, 501 Grove Avenue, Johnstown, PA 15902, in Frank's memory.
