Holly J. (Peterson) LaVigne

Holly J. LaVigne, 55, Johnstown, entered into eternal peace with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, September 22, 2016.  She was born October 10, 1960, in Johnstown, daughter of the late Edwin G. and Shirley C. (Driscoll) Peterson, and also preceded in death by her brother timothy and infant sister Darla Marie.  She is survived by her sons, Shaunn, Johnstown; and Scott, New Jersey; several grandchildren and long-time friend, Kenneth “Frenchie’ Vassau; also survived by brothers:  David, married to Elaine (Beegle), Johnstown; Daniel, married to Linda (Strayer), Locust Grove, VA; sisters:  Rebecca, married to Terry Yoshizumi, Hillsborough, NC; Diane, married to Jerry Peterson, Johnstown and Lisa, married to Scott Evans, Spotsylvania, VA.  Holly was a caring friend to manyin her neighborhood and loved children and the ocean.  Her compassion for others, even during her lengthy illness, touched the lives of many.  At her request there will be no visitation, and a memorial service will be held on Thursday at 11:00 AM, at the Fountain of Life Fellowship, 225 Second St. Conemaugh, the Rev. John Mains officiating.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the family.
