Isabelle D. (Doran) Hurrell

Isabelle D. Hurrell, 89, Upper Yoder Twp., died February 23, 2017 at Amber Springs at Laurel Wood Care Center.  She was born August 12, 1927 in Johnstown, the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. William Doran.  Preceded in death by husband, Clarence Hurrell and brother, William Doran.  Isabelle was the last surviving member of her immediate family.  She taught English at Bishop McCort High School and was secretary for Congressman John P. Murtha for 25 years.  Isabelle was a member of Our Mother of Sorrows Catholic Church, where funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 AM, Monday by the Very Rev. Mark S. Begly, VF.  Friends will be received from 9 AM, Monday until time of departure for funeral Mass, at Picking-Treece-Bennett Mortuary, Inc., 921 Menoher Blvd.  Interment Grandview Cemetery.
