JAY D. “ANIMAL” Bruce, 65, Ferndale, died January 24, 2018. He was born August 26, 1952, in Johnstown, son of the late Jim and Marion (Branthoover) Bruce. Preceded in death by his wife, Meichelle “Mitch” Lopez, in December of 2017, brother, Jim and grandson Jeremy. Survived by daughters Carrie, married to Brian Pritt, and Jill, married to Joshua Brown, and grandchildren Corrina, Brianna, Kirsten and DJ Bruce, and his sister, Marie Bruce, and several nieces and nephews. A special thank you to Michele Baxendale for her kindness and devotion to both Jay and Mitch. Jay retired from Penn Machine and was a member of 2nd Presbyterian Church. Animal spent most of his days on his Harley with Mitch, and when home they shared his love of dogs. Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.
