Joanne D. (Wetherson) Kurtz

Joanne D. Kurtz, 80, Johnstown, died June 4, 2017 at her residence.  She was born December 31, 1936 in Spangler, the daughter of the late Lyle and Hilda (Toth) Wetherson.  Preceded in death by granddaughter, Ashley Keith and brother, Neal Wetherson.  Survived by husband, Bill Kurtz; children, Dawn Strauss, Los Angeles; William E. Kurtz, Jr., and wife, Patty, Windber; Leslie Keith, Cherry Tree; grandchildren, Randy Keith, Jr., Brandi, Kurtz and step-grandson, Jimmy Valentine. Also survived by sister, Joyce Toman, Johnstown.  Joanne was an active member of First United Methodist Church, where funeral service will be held at 2 PM, Thursday, with a luncheon to follow at the church. Rev. Edwin Herald will officiate the service.  Entombment Grandview Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, contributions may be directed to First United Methodist Church, 436 Vine Street, Johnstown, PA 15901.
