John F., “Jack,” Brady 92, Johnstown, died March 20, 2017 at Memorial Medical Center.  He was born March 10, 1925 in Johnstown, PA. He was the son of the late Patrick F. and Florence E. (Ritter) Brady and was preceded in death by his loving wife of 55 years, the former Bernadine Boldin. Survived by loving children, Colleen Brady, Johnstown; Maureen, married to Kent Mulkey, Chandler, AZ; Jacquelyn, married to Don Somma, Sparta, NJ; and Brian, married to Tammy Rigby, Vienna, WV.  He was also survived by devoted grandchildren, Kayla, married to Aaron Kloc, Krista Buschko; Lauren, Emily and Donald Somma; Brian “BJ” Brady, Jr.; and great-granddaughter, Addie Kloc.  Also, survived by his brother, Pat Brady, Johnstown; extended family and many loving nieces and nephews.  He lived his entire life in downtown Johnstown.  Jack was a 1943 graduate of Johnstown High School and a World War II Navy Veteran.  His experience in the Navy instilled a deep sense of pride and patriotism.  He was employed by the City of Johnstown, and retired from Penelec after 28 years of service.  He also was a P.I.A.A. Basketball official, a courier for Brinks and elected as a Constable in the 1st Ward of the City of Johnstown. Jack was a member of the St. Anne Society, Harmonie Singing Society, American Legion Post #294, and the Croatian Fraternal Union. Anyone that knew Jack Brady, knows that he was a knowledgeable fan of all sports and especially the Fighting Irish of Notre Dame.  The family would like to thank the staff at the Villa for the care and love that they showed Jack, where he lived since December of 2010.  While he will be missed by all, he will be especially missed by his oldest daughter, Colleen.  She was his constant companion and main caregiver.  Every day, Colleen went out of her way and set aside her own interests and activities to ensure that he was happy.  She had his back at all times.  He was a Eucharistic Minister and dedicated his time to other ministries at St. John Gualbert Cathedral, where the funeral Mass will be held Saturday at 10:00 AM, the Very Rev. James Crookston, officiating. Friends will be received Friday from 3:00 to 8:00 PM at Picking-Treece-Bennett Mortuary, Inc., 921 Menoher Blvd. Interment Grandview Cemetery, where military rites will be held by Conemaugh Valley Det. #287, Marine Corps League. Memorial donations may be made to the American Legion, Post #294, Johnstown, PA.
