Joseph S. Voltz

Joseph S. Voltz, 86, Westmont, died August 12, 2016.  He was born in Pittsburgh, October 11, 1929, son of the late J. Hudson and Sara (Sharkey) Voltz, he was also preceded in death by brothers, Hudson and Philip S. Voltz.  He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Lenore L. (Leitenberger) Voltz, and daughters Lenore A. Voltz, Amy M. Mee and Jeanette M. Luz Eugene; 7 grandchildren, and sister Sally Glock and brother Neal Voltz.  Joe was a 1948 graduate of Westmont High School, he then attended UPJ, and served in the Army during the Korean War.  He was a self-employed insurance agent and investment representative, until just weeks ago, and he also served on the board of Mercy Hospital, and on the finance council of Our Mother of Sorrows Church.  Joe was an avid antique car enthusiast, and enjoyed playing tennis and golf.  At his request there will be no public visitation. Friends and family should meet at Our Mother of Sorrows Catholic Church, 415 Tioga St. on Wednesday at 11:00 AM for the Funeral Mass.  The Very Rev. Mark Begly officiating. Interment Grandview Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to OMOS School, Tioga St. Johnstown, PA 15905.
