Kathleen R. "Kass" Grady

KATHLEEN R. “KASS” GRADY, 82, passed away peacefully at the Allegheny Lutheran Home, Johnstown, where she resided 4 ½ years and received excellent skilled care.  She was born September 1, 1935, and passed away on January 1, 2018.  Daughter of the late Regis and Dorothy (Helsel) Grady.  Survived by brother, Richard and wife, Janet (Maier) Grady; Nieces Karen and husband Robert Fink; Elaine and husband Alan Metzler; Cathy and husband John Weinheimer; Great Nieces and nephews:  Dorothy Fink, MD., Katie Dunn, Esquire and husband Steve; Matthew Metzler and wife Justine; Eric Metzler and fiancé Stephanie; Alaina, Grady and Nancy Weinheimer; and great great nephew and niece Tommy and Janie Dunn.  Kathleen graduated Johnstown Catholic High (Bishop McCort), Mount Aloysius College and retired from the Third District Court, Philadelphia.  Kass resided in Rittenhouse Square, Philadelphia, until retirement and returned to Johnstown.  Kass was a former member of St. Columba Church and St. Patrick Cathedral, Philadelphia; and current member of St. John Gualbert Cathedral, Johnstown.  At Kass’s request, there will be no public viewing.  Funeral arrangements by Picking-Treece-Bennett Mortuary, Inc., 921 Menoher Blvd., Johnstown.  Memorial donations may be made to Proclaim TV Ministry, PO Box 807 Johnstown, PA  15907.
