Rita R. "Becky" LaRue

Rita R. “Becky,” LaRue, 89,  died August 2, 2016 at Cambria Care Center, Ebensburg.  She was born in Johnstown, the daughter of the late James T. and Grace Mae (Crone) LaRue.  Preceded in death by siblings, Daniel Wadsworth, Alverta Wadsworth, Hope Mae LaBuda, Paul LaRue, James W. LaRue and niece Sharon (LaBuda) Perry.  Survived by brother, Francis E. and wife, Grace (Smith) LaRue, Carrolltown; sister-in-law, Rose Marie (Zurick) LaRue, York Haven. Beloved aunt to numerous nieces and nephews including, Anne Marie (LaRue) Weber and husband, Joseph, Jr. and their children, Joseph, III, Nicole  and Alexander, Carrolltown; Janice (LaBuda) Mack and husband, William, and their children, Stephen and Brittni, Johnstown; Pat (LaRue) Unger and husband, Jerry and their children, Michael and wife, Stephanie and Patrick, Johnstown; Deborah (LaRue) Martin and husband, Phillip and their daughter, Erin Gibson, York Haven; Doug LaRue, Hummelstown; James “Jimmy” LaRue, York Haven; Wayne LaBuda, Johnstown and Suzie (LaRue) Huffman and  husband, Chuck and their children, Eric and Kelly. Becky was employed by the Cambria County Assistance Office for many years.  She was a life-long member of Park Avenue United Methodist Church, where she was a member of the choir, the Ladies’ Auxiliary, “Guys and Dolls,” the bowling league. Friends will be received from 10 AM, Friday, at Picking-Treece-Bennett Mortuary, Inc., 921 Menoher Blvd. until the procession leaves at 12:45 PM, for the funeral service at Park Avenue United Methodist Church at 1 PM. Pastor Len Findley officiating.  Interment Grandview Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Park Avenue United Methodist Church, 700 Park Avenue, Johnstown, PA 15902.
