Barbara D. (Maser) Maser-Mitchell

 Barbara D. Maser-Mitchell, 69, Johnstown, died Sept. 17, 2016. She was born Sept. 11, 1947, in Johnstown, daughter of the late Calvin and Mary Jane (Felix) Maser. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert D. Mitchell, and survived by her children, Beverly Campbell, New York; Bryan C. Maser and  his partner, Theresa Mackey, Silver Spring, Md.; Beth Ann Carmona and her husband, Brixio, Jacksonville, Fla.; Beckie Cole, Hagerstown, Md.; and Brett Goughnour, Johnstown; grandchildren, Colin, Catherine and Christine Campbell; Nikita Cole; Lorenzo and Brixana Carmona; and Chloe Goughnour; and great-grandchildren, Evelyn and Russell Bodnar. She also is survived by her cousin, Leslie Blasko, and many special friends. Barbara was employed as a counselor at the Office of Vocational Rehabilitation of Johnstown. She was a volunteer for many years for Special Olympics, the Johnstown Free Clinic, and Caring Friends at the Allegheny Lutheran Home. Barbara also was a member of Moxham Lutheran Church, where her funeral servicewill be held at 11 a.m. Thursday. Friends will be received from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at Picking-Treece-Bennett Mortuary Inc., 921 Menoher Blvd.
