Bruce R. Hulburt

Bruce R. Hulburt, 76, of Johnstown, died August 29, 2017 at home.  Born July 16, 1941, in Columbus, Ohio, son of the late Howard and Grayce (Bueller) Hulburt.  Survived by wife, the former Sandra G. McGough and sons, Robert and wife Christine, and David and fiancé Rachel Dixon, both of Johnstown and daughter Tammy Boring, Ft. Myers, FL: grandchildren, Frederick Hulburt, Harry Walters and wife Alia, Tyler and Megan Hulburt, and Bradley Hulburt; and great grandchildren, Ian, Christian Hulburt and Jesse Walters; and brother John (Marcia), Andover, OH and sister Janet Hopkin (Britton) of Rochester, NY.  Bruce served in the Army during the Viet Nam War and then worked as an engineer with Penelec/First Energy.  He was a member of the Westwood Kiwanis, and enjoyed shooting muzzleloaders with the Shawnee Rangers.  At Bruce’s request, there will be no visitation.  Memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 2, 2017, at Picking-Treece-Bennett Mortuary, Inc., Rev. Alice Tondora officiating.
