Herman Eisenberg, 86, Pittsburgh, PA, died February 22, 2018. He was born in Johnstown, the son of the late Joseph and Anna (Silverman) Eisenberg. He is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, the former Joanne (Penny) Pentrack of Johnstown. Also survived by sons Jerry (Pati) and Jeffrey Eisenberg (Chris) and daughter, Renee Tassari (PJ), all of Pittsburgh. He was the proud grandfather of Aaron and Rachel Eisenberg and Anna and Vinny Tassari. Also survived by his sister, Evelyn Jacobs. Mr. Eisenberg worked as the General Manager of S&R Sales in Cambria City until the 1977 flood. After the flood he became a Vice President at Consolidated Vending, working with his brother Philip. He had served as a Corporal in the Army from 1952-1954 during the Korean War. Herman and Joanne loved to travel and had taken many cruises and also traveled to Alaska and Hawaii. Herman was a “people person” and could always find a Johnstown connection wherever he traveled. In lieu of flowers, Herman would have preferred that you make a donation to the Veterans’ Administration or the charity of your choice. Friends will be received Monday, February 26, from 10 am until the time of service at 11am at the Picking-Treece-Bennett Mortuary, Inc., 921 Menoher Blvd., Johnstown.
