Magdalene (Mesteller) Johnson

Magdalene “Maggie” (Mesteller) Johnson, 92, passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by family on October 24, 2019.  Born in Johnstown, on December 17, 1926, daughter of Andrew and Susanna (Vancak) Mesteller.  Preceded in death by parents; loving husband Robert (Bob) of 54 years; son Randy; and brothers John and Steven.  Survived by caring and loving son, Gary (Pamela Speicher) Johnson; and her only grandson, Jason and wife, Khlang Yai Mean.  Maggie is also survived by three great-grandchildren, Thavy, Jeremiah and Sophia, Colorado;   loving sister, Irene Strayer, and brother, Julius Mesteller, Johnstown; special niece, Cathy Kassick; great nephew, Bradon, and wife, Nicole; special nephew Rick Strayer and family, Colorado; and many other nieces and nephews.  Special thanks to Brenda and Keith Barclay, special neighbors, Shane and Karen Cruse and Cory and Karen Clites.  Also, a special thanks to the Interim Health Care Hospice team, staff and Dr. Kastelic.  At her request, there will be no viewing or services.  Interment at Grandview Mausoleum.  The family is being served by Picking-Treece-Bennett Mortuary, Inc., 921 Menoher Blvd. )
