Neil D. “Pappy” Horner, 82, Johnstown, died April 11, 2019 at his residence. Born October 18, 1936 in Conemaugh, son of the late Theodore and Margaret (Page) Horner. Also preceded in death by brother Theodore, sister Faith, and great granddaughter Angel Richter. Survived by loving wife, the former Patricia Volk with whom he would have celebrated 60 years together on May 28, 2019. Also survived by daughters Tammy “Tamster” Richter (Mark) and Dawn Horner; grandson Jason Richter (Kortney); great grandchildren Skylar, Cayden and Ellie. Also survived by brothers Robert, Johnstown, and Mearl (Carole), Davidsville. Veteran of U.S. Coast Guard and retired from mobile maintenance at Penelec. Member of BPOE #175, VFW #155, American Legion #0294 and Hilltop Area Sr. Citizens. Friends will be received on Monday from 10:30 to time of service at 12:00 at Picking-Treece-Bennett Mortuary, Inc., 921 Menoher Blvd., Rev. Rodney Hatfield, officiating. Military rites by VFW Post #155, and Elks services by BPOE #175, at the funeral home. Special thanks to Ascera Care Hospice for their loving care. In lieu of flowers donations made me made to Veteran Community Initiative, or St. Jude Hospital.
