William Robinson Obituary

William M. Robinson, 89, Johnstown, died October 19, 2019, at Arbutus Manor. Born January 12, 1930, in Saltsburg, son of the late Lloyd E. and Martha E. (Kennedy) Robinson. He was also preceded in death by his wife, the former Lois W. Lydic, February 25, 2019; sister, Betty Cribbs, and brother L. Stanly Robinson. He is survived by his son, William M. Robinson, Jr., married to Barbara Salay, Windber; and daughter Cynthia, married to Robert Chulick, Johnstown; grandchildren, Gary Pribozie, II, married to Nickole (Kopcha) and Erin Pinkas, married to Izeke and great-grandson Colin Pribozie. Bill was a US Navy Veteran. He worked at Robinson-Lytle Funeral Home, Indiana, then moved to Johnstown and worked at Picking-Treece-Bennett Mortuary, Johnstown, for over 50 years. Bill was an active member of First Presbyterian Church, Johnstown, and an avid Notre Dame football and a Kentucky Wildcat basketball fan. Friends will be received at Picking-Treece-Bennett Mortuary, 921 Menoher Blvd. on Thursday from 12-2 PM with services immediately following, Rev. Alice Tondora, officiating. Interment Grandview Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Arbutus Park Manor or AseraCare Hospice .
