Yvonne C. (Marshall) Watkins

Yvonne C. Watkins, 77, Johnstown, was called home, April 5, 2019. She was born February 13, 1942, in Johnstown, daughter of the late Milton and Daisy (Coleman) Marshall.  Predeceased by her loving husband George E. Watkins, in 2009; her sister LaRue Suttle and nephew, Jason Marshall.  She is survived by devoted daughters, Bridgett Kelly (Vincent), Edison, NJ; and Shannon Watkins, Columbus, OH; grandchildren, Marques and Kiana Kelly; brother, Larry Marshall, Endicott, NY; niece, Sherronda Marshall-Irving (Carl); nephew Joe Suttle, Jr.; sister-in-law Loretta Hall; brothers-in-law Joe Suttle, Sr. and Earl Gregley; step-brother Dan Coleman and godchild Andrea Nash; and special friends Mary McCray, Pam Nash, Jackie Williams, C. Helen Rozier and Yvonne Cooper. Yvonne retired from   MetLife.  Most recently, she was proud to be working with the Foster Grandparent Program.  She was a lifelong member of Mt. Sinai Institutional Baptist Church, where she served as a Trustee, member of the Kitchen Ministry, and the Adult Choir.  She was currently serving as the Worthy Matron, Conemaugh Chapter #55, Order of Eastern Star; active with the Cambria County Community Action Board and Vice President with the Johnstown Branch, NAACP.  Friends will be received on Friday from 5-8 PM at Mt. Sinai Baptist Church, 351 Second St., Conemaugh, PA 15909,  where Homegoing Service will be held Saturday at 11:00 AM, Rev. Maurice Williams officiating.  Interment Benshoff Hill cemetery.  The family is being served by Picking-Treece-Bennett Mortuary, Inc.(ptbmortuary.com)
