Audrey L. (Hargreaves) (Foster) Bearer

Audrey L. (Hargreaves) Bearer, 94, Westmont, died November 5, 2020.  She was born in Altoona May 11, 1926, daughter of the late Rolland and Mary (Kelly) Foster, and also preceded in death by her 1st husband, Dr. William J. Hargreaves, and 2nd husband John E. Bearer.  Survived by son James Hargreaves(Karen), Westmont; daughters, Susan Brisco(Fred), Ellicott City, MD, and Kathy Oszustowicz, Dallas, TX; grandchildren, William Hargreaves, John Hargreaves(Cristine), James Hargreaves(Kim)), Alice Myers(Jeff), Susan Oszustowicz, Meredith Brisco-Basic, M.D.(Bradley, M.D.); and 8 great grandchildren. Audrey was a 1947 graduate of the Jefferson Medical College School of Nursing, she loved playing the piano, playing bridge, needlepoint, knitting, cooking and entertaining for family and friends especially during the holiday seasons.  This left a lifetime of cherished memories for all.  She was a member of Conemaugh Hospital Junior Auxiliary, Sunnehanna Country Club and First Lutheran Church, where services will be held on December 5th at 11:00 AM, Rev. Walter Startzel officiating. Interment Grandview Cemetery.  Friends will be received on December 4th from 4-7 PM at Picking-Treece-Bennett Mortuary, Inc.  921 Menoher Blvd.  with all current Covid precautions enforced.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the 1889 Foundation, in Audrey’s honor.
