Audrey Ruth Tollis

Audrey Ruth Tollis, 98, Johnstown, died July 6, 2024.  Born in Johnstown on August 12, 1925, daughter of the late J. Clyde and Freda (Himes) Horner.  Also preceded in death by first husband Frank H. Peterson and second husband David F. Tollis; stepson Joseph Tollis; sister Shirley Litzinger.  She was the last surviving member of her family.  Survived by son Lonnie Peterson (Jennifer), Memphis, TN; daughter Pamela Stefanka (William), Osterburg, PA; stepson William Tollis (Barbara)Homer City, PA.  Also surviving are   grandchildren, Amy Guest (Mike); Lori Sciko (Vince); Frank Peterson; April Girolami (Tim); William Tollis, along with 3 great-grandchildren. Audrey was a lifetime member of the former First Christian Church, where she was an elder and a member of the choir.  She was also a member of the Oakland VFD Auxiliary.  She was also an Avon representative for 20 years. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Arbutus Park Retirement Village or Windber Hospice.  Friends will be received at the Picking-Treece-Bennett Mortuary, 921 Menoher Blvd. on Saturday from 1 PM until the time of service at 3 PM.  Interment at Grandview Cemetery.
