Brian G. W. Thompson “Big B”, 55, Johnstown, died February 12, 2022. Born in Johnstown, April 14, 1966, to Queen (Williams) and the late Herbert Thompson, he was also preceded in death by maternal and paternal grandparents, and sister Kimberly Thompson, brother Kevin Weatherly and niece Jymela Thompson. He is survived by siblings Rebecca Thompson, Pittsburgh; Erskine Thompson (Helen), Johnstown; and Stephanie Thompson, Johnstown. Also nieces Tracie, Amber, Brittney and Jamie, and nephews Jymil, Preston, Brennan, Paul and Evan; special niece, NeVaeh, Aunt Gwen Hemphill (Lawrence); uncles, Steven Williams (Judy), Benny Thompson (Wanda), Bruce Thompson (Sandy), Brian Thompson (Sheila); and a loving host of great nieces and nephews, cousins and special friends. Brian was a JHS “85” graduate where he excelled in playing football and basketball. Always wanting to ensure the safety of his loved ones and community, Brian committed to working numerous security jobs in the area throughout his career. He loved meeting and talking to people everywhere he went, and had a personality you'd never forget. He was a member of Brothers of the Hammer bike club. He was also a faithful member of Jefferson Memorial Church. Brian's love, sense of humor, and generosity were beyond measure. "Big B" will be greatly missed. Friends will be received on Friday from 4-7 pm at Picking-Treece-Bennett Mortuary, 921 Menoher Blvd., where services will be held at 1:00 PM Saturday.
