Carol Hope Flynn

Carol Hope Flynn, 93, Johnstown, died February 28, 2023.  Born in Johnstown on December 9, 1929, daughter of the late Charles and Martha (Kunkle) Mitchell.  Also preceded in death by husband Frank L. Flynn, Jr.; son Craig; grandson Scott; and brothers Leonard, Robert and Edward.  Survived by sons, Mark (Cynthia Meyers), Johnstown; Brian L. (Denise Todorich), Windber; daughter Dona Flynn, Johnstown; and daughter-in-law Amy.  Also surviving are grandchildren Matt, Erin, Aimee, and Lauren,; great grandchildren Chloe, Killian, Max and Jude.  Carol was a 1947 graduate of Johnstown High School and a 1951 graduate of Conemaugh School of Nursing, then working at CVMH for 40 years She was a life member of Trinity Methodist Church until it’s closing, then becoming a devoted member of Franklin St. United Methodist; member of Arbutus Auxiliary; and YWCA Water Aerobics.  Friends will be received at Picking-Treece-Bennett Mortuary, 921 Menoher Blvd. from 4-7 PM Friday where service will be held at 11 AM Saturday, Rev. Terry Knipple officiating.  In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to the YWCA or Arbutus Auxiliary.
