David Charles Fatula

David Charles Fatula, 72, Brownstown, died January 16, 2026 at his residence.  Born in Johnstown, son of Charles and Lucy (Pacifico) Fatula.  Preceded in death by his parents, his loving wife Carol (Farkas) and his brother Ron.  Survived by son Paul granddaughters Chloe and Carly; caring daughter Emily, her husband Toby Stoykovich; grandsons Carter, Austin and “best friend Emmett; loving granddaughter Makenzie Jerin; along with helpful sister-in-law Kathy Farkas and many other close family and friends.  David worked as a machinist at Bethlehem Steel in Johnstown and Sparrows Point in Maryland.  He was a maintenance man and weather observer at the Johnstown Airport and a van driver at UCP.  He also had countless odds and ends jobs around town, but what he liked most was to build and fix things for others.  Dave was a man of many talents and never hesitated to help anyone in need.  If you needed something fixed he would show up with his toolbox of a car and have it done in no time. Friends will be received at the Picking-Treece-Bennett Mortuary on Monday from 2 PM until time of service at 6 PM, Rev. Art Shore officiating.
