Earl Mitchell

          Earl Mitchell, 65, Johnstown, died September 19, 2023.  He was born May 20, 1958, in Johnstown, son of the late Albert and Catherine (Shaffer) Mitchell, he was also predeceased by his wife the former Rosemarie Bilak, in 2022, and siblings Albert, Ida, Allen, George and an infant sister Trudy.  He is survived by children, Jamie Mitchell, Everett; Michael Bilak, Portage; Heather Mitchell and wife Felicia, Johnstown; Richard Bilak, and wife Kristin, CA and Gracie Mitchell, Johnstown; grandchildren Victoria, Trenton, Emma, Jordan, Nicholas, Clayton and Thaddeus; and great-granddaughter, Ella Rosemarie.  Earl was a retired self-employed contractor, and a member of the VFW, American Legion, Slovak Club, Polish Educational Club and the Falcons, all in Windber.   Friends will be received at The Picking-Treece-Bennett Mortuary, 921 Menoher Blvd., Johnstown on Friday from noon until the time of services at 2:00 PM, Rev. Gieta Gresh officiating, Interment Benshoff Hill Cemetery.
