Edward A. Ickes., 82, Johnstown, died March 7, 2022 at Memorial Medical Center. Born September 19, 1939 in Johnstown, son of Joseph C. and Catherine (Dixon) Ickes. Preceded in death by parents and brothers David and Robert. Survived by wife, the former Donna L. Pasike; son Arthur E.Ickes, Jersey Shore; daughters Bonnie Kay Ickes, Johnstown; and Dawn M. Boden (William), Hooversville; former daughter-in-law Theresa; grandchildren William, Jennifer, Luke, August, Theodore and Evelyn; sister Cathie Nocero (Tony), Virginia; along with his fur babies Tami and Molly. Ed was in the Army Corps of Engineers, National Guard, and was a partner in Conemaugh Engraving. He was a member of the former Trinity United Methodist Church. He was a loving husband and a wonderful father and grandfather, who loved boating and camping. Friends will be received at the Picking-Treece-Bennett Mortuary, 921 Menoher Blvd. on Thursday from 4-7 PM and Friday from 11 until time of service at 1 PM, Rev. Donald Shadid officiating. Interment Richland Cemetery.
