Eric Vaughn Vamos

Eric V. Vamos, 64, Southmont, passed away on October 4, 2018 at his residence.  Born April 4, 1954 in Johnstown, son of the late Stephen and Maxine (Schwer) Vamos.     Survived by daughter, Erica, married to David Darak, Tampa, FL, and son, Sterling and his companion Tess Merringer, Johnstown, and baby Vamos, whom Eric was looking forward to meeting.  Also survived by sister Jennifer, married to Robert Brown, Winston-Salem, NC.  Known as “Super Fly” to his close friends, he was a 1972 graduate of Westmont Hilltop and also attended Augusta Military Academy.  A celebration of life will be held October 17 from 6-8 PM at the Picking-Treece-Bennett Mortuary, Inc., 921 Menoher Blvd.  In lieu of flowers, please make a contribution toward what would have been Eric’s first grandchild.
