Francis J. Karmanocky, 88, Johnstown, passed away March 28, 2023 at Memorial Medical Center. Born August 21, 1934 at his home in Johnstown, son of Michael and Anna (Petro) Karmanocky. Preceded in death by his parents, brother Michael, Jr., and sisters Ethel (Karmanocky) Kiraly, and Ann (Karmanocky) Rasich. Survived by his loving wife Sue (Brockitt) and siblings Eugene, Father Bernard Karmanocky and children, Frank, Jr. and wife Karen (Will); Deborah and husband David Flynn; and Thomas and wife Debra (Bittner); all of Johnstown. Also surviving are grandchildren Frank III; Jennifer; Patrick; Cristy (PJ); and Tyler (Jenn); Jason Rex and Jessica (Rex) Savering (Adam); and great-grandchildren Addilyn, Julia, Logan and Brock. Member of Church of the Visitation BVM and the Harmonie Club. Retired from Good Samaritan Hospital after 34 years of service. He enjoyed many years of painting, hunting and fishing, gambling trips, crossword puzzles and sudoku. Friends will be received on Sunday from 4-6 PM at the Picking-Treece-Bennett Mortuary, 921 Menoher Blvd., where a vigil for the deceased will be held. Funeral mass will be celebrated Monday 11:00 AM at Church of the Visitation BVM with his brother Rev. Bernard Karmanocky as celebrant, and Rev. John Slovikowski, concelebrant. Committal Grandview Cemetery.
