Francis W. Malinovsky, 63, Johnstown, died December 24, 2020, after fighting a long and courageous battle with the cancer that eventually took him. He was born, July 9, 1957, in Johnstown, son of the late William and Helen (Bafia) Malinovsky, also predeceased by sisters-in-law, Carol Lindrose and Bonnie (Bern) Picklo. He is survived by his loving wife, the former Christine A. Hill, son Matthew Mroczka (Maribeth), and daughter, Melissa Glessner, both of Johnstown; grandchildren Brock and Brice Mroczka and Logan and Madelyn Glessner; sister, Janet Burnett (Duncan), VA; brother-in-law, William (Kathleen) Hill, and brother-in-law, Ron Lindrose; and numerous nieces and nephews. Francis worked for 35 years in outside sales for Harvey Supply a division of Cumberland Truck, where he had many close friends. Francis attended Garfield St. United Methodist Church. He was definitely known for his sense of humor, and enjoyed bowling, trains, and playing banjo in polka bands. He was an avid Ohio State fan, but most of all he loved his grandchildren and truly enjoyed watching them participate in various sports. Due to the current restrictions, all services will be private at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Windber Hospice.
