Gale Arlene Harfield, 68, Johnstown, died July 4, 2020 at her residence. Born October 4, 1951 in Johnstown, daughter of the late James and Velma (Hall) Brandon. Also preceded in death by sister Winifred Jones and brother Ronald Brandon. Survived by husband Stephen R. Harfield, to whom she was happily married for 49 years; daughter Carmella Cook (Michael), Chantilly, VA; sons Richard A. (Chynel), Johnstown; Lee A. (Jennifer), Johnstown; Stephen R. (Kristie Joi), Harrisburg; Nathan D. (Missy), Indiana, PA; sisters Ellen Jones, Johnstown; Brenda Brandon, Pennsauken, NJ, sister-in-law Thelma Brandon; along with her best friend Margaret Holmes, Johnstown. Also survived by a host of grandchildren & great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends. Gale was employed by the Association for the Blind, retiring in 2018. She was a life member and treasurer of Shiloh Baptist Church. Friends will be received Friday from 3-7 PM at Picking-Treece-Bennett Mortuary, 921 Menoher Blvd. Masks and social distancing required. Homegoing service will be held at 1 PM Saturday at Shiloh Baptist Church, Rev. Theodore Tisinger, officiating. Interment Benshoff Hill Cemetery.
