Gene O. Brown

Gene O. Brown, 88, Westmont, died August 8, 2022.  He was born July 17, 1934, in Johnstown, son of the late Otho and Gertrude (Gelvin) Brown.  Survived by his loving family, Fred (formerly Schellhammer), (Grace); Rex, (Dee); Doug, (Cathy); Carolyn Partsch, (Fred); Greg, (Amy) and Eric, (Shana); 11 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.  He was a 1952 graduate of Westmont Hilltop High School, first manager of Johnstown Bank and Trust, Westmont Branch for 41 years.  He served as an officer for the Connumach Lions Club, Westmont Wrestling Boosters and the Tremont Club.  He was also a member of Alma lodge #523, Elks Lodge #175, and the Westmont Presbyterian Church.   Gene was a wonderful father and loved spending time with his family and friends.  Friends will be received at Picking-Treece-Bennett Mortuary, 921 Menoher Blvd. on Friday from 4-7 PM, where service will be held at 11 AM Saturday, Rev. Rodney Hartfield officiating. Interment Grandview Cemetery.
