Harry Van Ewel

Harry Van Ewel, 62, Johnstown, died December 14, 2024, The Village at Nanty Glo, Johnstown. Born December 19  1961, in Johnstown, he was the son of Harry and Patricia (Roberts) Ewel. Preceded in death by his parents, sister Tracy Rae Ewel and grandparents, Ewart and Sarah Roberts. Harry is survived by his sisters, Marcy Gascoine of Indiana PA and Kimberly Davis (Christopher) of Bridgewater MA and eight nieces and nephews. Harry attended the Greater Johnstown Area Vocational Technical School, served in the US Army and volunteered at the Dorothy Day Outreach Center. In his spare time, Harry enjoyed being with friends, riding his bicycle, listening to music and playing the lottery. A graveside service will be held by the family in January at Grandview Cemetery. Arrangements are being made by the Picking Treece Bennett Mortuary. In lieu of flowers, donations to the American Lung Association or a charity of one’s choice may be made in memory of Harry. Our beloved brother and uncle, he will be sorely missed.
