Jacqueline “Jackie” Brown, 84, of Johnstown, went home to be with the Lord on August 23, 2023. Born March 16, 1939 in Uniontown, PA, she is preceded in death by her parents, Major and Cora (Flannigan) Coar, her daughter Latonya M. Brown, brother Cecil C. Coar, sisters LaQuita A. Harris, Rita G. Coar and former spouse, Charles L. Brown. She is survived by daughters Mylove (Lovey) Wallace (Dennis), Johnstown, and Constance (Connie) Carter (Lorenzo), Sorrento, FL. Jacqueline was blessed to have a devoted and special friend Jacqueline Williams, and close special family member Mary Ann Hall, both of Johnstown. Jacqueline was employed as a teacher’s aide for many years at Meadowvale Elementary School, and a long-time employee at Gee Bee and BiLo Supermarkets. Jacqueline was a fiercely loving and doting mother who cherished her daughters. She was very kind, generous, and strong willed (with a little feistiness). She will be truly missed by all who loved her. She was a member of Shiloh Baptist Church and St. James Missionary Baptist. On Tuesday, August 29, 2023. a viewing will be held at the Picking-Treece-Bennett Mortuary, 921 Menoher Blvd. from 11 AM-12 PM. Immediately following the viewing will be the home going service at 12 PM, Rev. Theodore Tisinger officiating. Interment Grandview Cemetery.
