James Bailey Obituary

James W. Bailey, 90, Johnstown, died May 30, 2023. Born October 10, 1932 in Beaverdale, son of James and Margaret (Handel) Bailey. Preceded in death by parents, wife, the former Mary Regina Gabany, brothers Joseph and William, and granddaughter Brooke. Survived by son James Michael (Debra), Liverpool, PA; daughter Jamie Michele Petimezas (Basil), Johnstown; sons Jay L, NC; and William Joseph, Beaverdale. Also surviving are sister Edna Mae Charney (Jerry), Ohio; along with grandchildren Bethany and James (Shena) and great-grandchildren Kendra and Brantley. He was a veteran of the Marine Corps serving in the Korean Conflict, and more recently the proprietor of Bailey’s Pub. Friends will be received at the Picking-Treece-Bennett Mortuary, 921 Menoher Blvd. on Tuesday, June 6 from 2:00 until time of service at 4 PM.
