Jane Wertz

Jane Wertz  (Livingston),  loving wife, mother, grandmother & great-grandmother passed away January 3, 2023, with her family beside her.  She is preceded in death by parents, Jesteen (Ellenberger) and Charles Livingston; brothers Charles and James Robert Livingston; husband Robert Wertz, M.D.; daughters Jane Livingston Wertz; Emily Suzanne Carlo.  She is survived by daughter Lynn (Mark) Chornick and son Robert (Kris) Wertz; and sister-in-law Marlene Livingston; grandchildren Matthew (Allie) Chornick; Robert R. Wertz, III; Adam Wertz; Hannah Jane Carlo; and Rachel Lynn Carlo; nieces & nephews Linda Jane Livingston; James Robert Livingston (Dana); Kelly, Cory, Katelyn and Karen.  Jane was a lifelong member of Grove Avenue United Methodist Church and a member of Conemaugh Ladies Auxiliary; life member of Garden Club of America.  Jane was a Girl Scout leader and an avid bridge player.  She loved sailing in the Chesapeake Bay with her husband and family.  She enjoyed spending time with her nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  Jane was a retired registered nurse and received a Bachelor of Science degree from Temple University and a Master’s degree in nursing from Columbia University.  She will be missed by all.  Thanks to the Allegheny Lutheran Home 365 Hospice, who took such great compassionate care of Jane over the past few years.  Jane will be interred next to her husband with a private service.  A celebration of life will be held at a future date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Grove Ave. United Methodist Church.
