Jeanne Bowen (Wolf) Burr

Jeanne Bowen Burr, 97, Johnstown, passed away August 11, 2026.  Born December 22, 1928, in Johnstown, daughter of the late Louis Goebert and Grace Elizabeth (Jones) Wolf, also preceded in death by an infant brother William and husband Robert Lewis Burr.  Jeanne is survived by loving son Evan Robert Burr married to Debra Smith, Acton, MA; and grandson Cameron Matthew Burr.  Jeanne was a pianist since childhood, taught piano, and mastered the organ in her middle age.  She retired from Westmont Christian Science Church, Bethany United Methodist Church, Moxham Lutheran Church, and Grove Avenue Methodist Church as their organist.  She was active with the Johnstown Symphony Orchestra Auxiliary, and a life member of First Lutheran Church, Vine St., where her service will be held on Saturday at 11:00 AM, Revs. Christy Harford and Nancy Hoover concelebrants.  Interment Grandview Cemetery.  Friends will be received on Friday at Picking-Treece-Bennett Mortuary, West Hills, from 4-8 PM.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to First Lutheran Church, 415 Vine St., Johnstown, PA 15901, in Jean's honor.
