JoAnn Feeley, aged 84, of Hampden Township, Mechanicsburg, passed away on April 3, 2025, at Messiah Lifeways after a brief illness. Born in Gouldsboro, PA, JoAnn was the cherished daughter of Richard and Hannah Orr. She graduated from Ligonier High School and earned a bachelor's degree in Home Economics from Indiana Teachers College, now known as Indiana University of Pennsylvania.
JoAnn began her career at Penelec as a Food Economist before transitioning to teaching Home Economics at Richland School District. She later dedicated herself to raising her twin daughters. Once her girls started kindergarten, JoAnn pursued a career as an interior decorator at Sears and Roebuck Co., where she eventually retired.
JoAnn was married to Paul J. Feeley for 51 wonderful years until his passing in May 2012. Together, they were avid members of Windber Country Club, enjoying countless rounds of golf. They also cherished their winters in St. Simons Island, Georgia, where they relished daily beach walks, golf, and escaping the cold Johnstown winters. After Paul's death, JoAnn moved to Lewisberry, PA, to be closer to her daughters. She treasured the time spent with her grandchildren, cheering them on at Red Land sporting events.
In 2018, JoAnn relocated to Mechanicsburg, where she enjoyed her townhouse, daily walks with her dog Orey, and forming friendships with neighbors. Due to declining health, she moved to Legends at Silver Creek Personal Care Home, where she thrived thanks to their kindness and care. Her daughters would like to thank the staff from the Donegal Neighborhood at Messiah Lifeways for providing such compassionate and loving care to their mom in her final days.
JoAnn was an active member of Zion Lutheran Church in Johnstown, PA, for over 51 years. More recently, she was a member of Red Land Baptist Church and volunteered at New Hope Ministries Food Pantry. Known for her benevolence, JoAnn generously supported social causes to help others.
Preceded in death by her beloved husband, Paul J. Feeley, JoAnn is survived by her identical twin daughters, Pamela J. Ozog (Jerry) of Mechanicsburg and Paula F. Coe (Robert) of Spring Hill, FL. She also leaves behind her grandchildren, Adam Keller (Katie), Erin Keller Mulvihill (Evan), Brayden Coe (Rachel), and Ryan Coe, as well as her great-grandchildren, Kendall Rae, Callie Elizabeth, and Carsyn Jo Keller. JoAnn's family will miss her deeply.
