Joan Callet Obituary

Callet, Joan Threz, 84, Surfside Beach, SC, formerly of Johnstown, died January 1, 2021. She was born March 11, 1936 in Johnstown, daughter of the late Joseph and Margaret (Puzak) Peles. Also preceded in death by husband Alan L. Callet in 2017. Survived by daughters Lisa Gaddy (Jody), Tampa, FL; Valerie Callet (Tony Ivanov), High Point, NC, and granddaughter Ani Ivanov. Also survived by brothers Bill Peles, Johnstown and Jim Peles, Yuma, AZ. Joan was a graduate of the former Johnstown Catholic High School. She was a retired school teacher, teaching in Chicago and San Francisco. She enjoyed bible study, playing mahjong and lunching with her red hat ladies. A graveside service will be held at a later date to be announced.
