John Michael O'Donnell

John M. O'Donnell., 80, Brownstown, died May 17, 2023.  Born November 9, 1942 in Johnstown son of John M. and Mary M. (Santacroce) O’Donnell.  Preceded in death by parents and wife, the former Jean Elizabeth Spangler.  Survived by sons Donald John (Holly), Woodland, TX and Matthew Paul (Colleen), Peoria, AZ; daughters Kristen Marie Furman (Joseph) and Amanda Elizabeth Burkett (Travis) both of Johnstown.  Also surviving are grandchildren Lauren, Margie Rose, Conner, Madeleine, Liam, Zoey, Arabella, Declan, along with brothers Edward and William (Carol), both of Johnstown.   John was a brakeman for the Conemaugh and Blacklick Railroad and an Army veteran. He  was an avid outdoorsman and loved fishing.   Friends will be received on Monday from 4-7 PM at the Picking-Treece-Bennett Mortuary, 921 Menoher Blvd.  Service will be held at 10 AM Tuesday at St. Michael Catholic Church, Rev. Mark Begly officiating.  Interment Richland Cemetery.
