Joseph Galasso Obituary

Joseph Almando “Ducky” Galasso, Sr.78, Westmont, born August 11, 1941, in Johnstown, son of the late Frank and Bessie (Pfeil) Galasso, also predeceased by brother, Frank Galasso; and sisters, Mary, Dorothy and Elaine.  Joseph is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Joann (Gibbons) Galasso; children, Lisa McGrath (Mike); Joseph A. Galasso, Jr. (Gina); Shannon Galasso (Peter); Kimberly Klinger (Jeff); and Shane Getz (Paulette).  Joseph is also survived by his grandchildren:  Warren, IV;  Megan; Michael; Lauren; Dante; Joseph A., III; Dane; Maribella; Jakob; Ava and Korryn, also survived by sisters, Lois (Fred) and Delores.  Joseph worked at United Metal Fabricators, Inc. for 37 years, and was Union President of Local #1957 for many years.  He was an avid sportsman, enjoying hunting and fishing.  He was a true family man that adored his children and grandchildren.  He will be sadly missed by all who knew him.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.  At his request, services will be private, with a prayer service with the Very Rev. Mark S. Begly officiant. Interment Richland Cemetery.  Arrangements by Picking-Treece-Bennett Mortuary, West Hills.
