Joyce Ann Motter

Joyce Ann Motter, 87, Johnstown, died September 14, 2023 at her residence.  Born July 12, 1936 in Johnstown, daughter of Albert and Mary C. (Comisky) Klaum.  Preceded in death by parents, loving husband of 54 years Carl J. Motter, Jr. and brothers Terry Klaum and Alan Klaum.  She was the last surviving member of her family.  Joyce is survived by daughters Carlene Motter, Johnstown, and Missi Snyder (Denny), Westminster, MD and son Scott (Janice), Eldersburg, MD.  Also surviving are 5 grandchildren, Shannon, Erin, Mason, Emma and Cole.  She was a member of St. Benedict’s Catholic Church, Benedictine Oblates, and St. Joseph Folk group and choir.  Friends will be received on Sunday from 4-7 PM at the Picking-Treece-Bennett Mortuary, 921 Menoher Blvd.  Family and friends will meet at 10 AM Monday at St. Benedict’s Church for the funeral mass, Fr. David Peles officiating.  Entombment at St. Joseph’s Mausoleum.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Benedict in Joyce's honor.
