Kelon Eugene Ray Smothers was born on August 15, 2000, to Krystal Pretlor and Rodriguez Smothers. He is preceded in death by his father Rodriguez Smothers, grandmother Martha Pretlor, brother Krysten Pretlor, aunt Kathleen Smothers, grandparents LaBruce Smothers and Mary Francis Smith Westbrook, and more.
Kelon is survived by his mother Krystal Pretlor and siblings Kaleya, Kashmir, Kellem, Victoria, Jamila, and Keyona. As well as numerous cousins, aunts, uncles, and so much more extended family. If we had the time to list the people he cared for we would be here for much longer than Kelon’s patience could handle.
In his short life, Kelon could impact those around him with goofiness and natural humor. His smile brightened a room and those surrounded couldn't help but smile. His loved ones including friends, family, and even pets were dear to him and he would want us to seek solace in his peace.
His true self was revealed in the comfort of those who loved him. Appearing to be quiet, Kelon could transform into the life of the party in the blink of an eye. Kelon’s eccentricity was reflected in his dynamic music and vibrant clothes. His artistry was unique to the core and there will never be another individual like him.
Family and friendship extend beyond the mortal realm, we shouldn’t say farewell to Kelon. Instead look forward to seeing him again whenever you hear a phrase, song, joke, or colorful outfit that reminds you of Kelon. These are the things that bind us until we meet again.
Going home services will be held June 8, 2024 at 1:00 PM, at Jefferson Memorial Baptist Church.
The family and friends of Kelon Smothers express their appreciation for the support, love, and comfort during this difficult time. A special thank you to those who helped make arrangements.
