Lois Jane Hofecker

Lois Jane Hofecker, 94, formerly of Johnstown, died October 28, 2023 in Nevada, where she lived for the last 7 years.  Born January 19, 1929 in Johnstown, daughter of David and Mary (Lewis) Rhoades.  Preceded in death by parents, husband of 55 years William Hofecker, in 2004, brothers Edward and William, and David and Dennis Miller; sister Catherine Miller; brothers-in-law Oscar Miller and Oliver Hofecker.  Survived by daughters Cheryl Vorhauer (Rodger), PA; Sondra Regula (David), NV; Tina Dunn, Altoona.  Also surviving are 6 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.  Lois was a 1947 graduate of GJHS, and a 1970 graduate of Johnstown Vo-Tech as an LPN.  Member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Mundys Corner, where services will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday, Rev. Kevin McNamara officiating.  Friends will be received at Picking-Treece-Bennett Mortuary, 921 Menoher Blvd. on Tuesday from 4-8PM, and at the church Wednesday from 10AM until the service. Interment at Forest Lawn Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Paul’s Lutheran Church.
