Marilyn V. Safko, 91, died December 17, 2025 at the Village of Maple Heights, Ebensburg. Born November 18, 1934 in Johnstown, daughter of Francis E. and Elfrieda S. (Stadtmiller) Thomas. Preceded in death by parents, husband John P. Safko, grandson John E. Safko and sister Maxine Caufiel. Survived by sons John D. (Jean Leventry); Gregory E.(Kim Struble); grandchildren Faith Safko, Hope Safko, Evan Gretok, David L. Struble Jr., Meghan Evans, Emily (Chenowith) Partsch; great-grandchildren Eve Evans and twins CiCi and Alice, Fiona, Johnathan, Courtlynn and Austin and several nieces and nephews. She worked at Riverside Market as a cashier and In the office and also in the bakery. Marilyn was a member of St. Clement Catholic Church, and a member of the funeral choir. She was also a part of the “Lunch Bunch” of Class of 1953; Pinochle Club for 53 years; and a member of the YMCA. She also enjoyed duckpin bowling at Zips Friends will be received at the Picking-Treece-Bennett Mortuary on Sunday from 2-5 PM. Funeral mass at St. Clements on Monday 11:00, Fr. William Rosenbaum officiating. Interment at St. Francis Cemetery.
