Marlene M. Clawson

Marlene M.Clawson  (Lucas), 74, of Johnstown, PA passed away September 1, 2024, at Select Specialty Hospital, Johnstown surrounded by her family.  Born September 22, 1949, in Johnstown, daughter of the late Charles P. and Madge (Lugar) Lucas.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother Charles R. Lucas, father-in-law Harry Clawson, brothers and sisters-in-law Terry (Donna) Clawson, Barry (Rose) Clawson and Julie Lappert.  Survived by her loving and devoted husband of 53 years, Garry Clawson, Johnstown, daughters Tammy (Mark) McCann, Johnstown and Melissa (Andy) Anglin, Williamsport, MD.  Grandson, Lukas Anglin and Step Grandsons Trey & Liam Anglin.  Brother, Paul Lucas Kauai, Hawaii, mother-in-law Ethel Clawson, Johnstown, brother and sister-in-law Kerry (Darlene) Clawson, Roaring Spring, PA and numerous nieces’, nephews and cousins.  Marlene graduated from Bishop McCort High School in 1967 and retired from WJAC-TV as a station/program assistant with more than 25 years of service.  A member of CFU Lodge #5.  She will forever be remembered for her kind spirit and caring ways and was always there for anyone in need.  She was the best wife, mom and “Mimi” and words cannot express the hole that will never be filled but we will always have an angel watching over us. Friends will be received from 4:00-8:00 pm on Thursday, September 5, 2024, at Picking-Treece-Bennett Mortuary, 921 Menoher Blvd.  Funeral mass at 11:00 am on Friday, September 6, 2024, at Our Mother of Sorrows Catholic Church, Very Rev. Mark Begly officiating.  Interment, Grandview Cemetery
