Matthew John Hughes

 Matthew John Hughes, 66, Johnstown, died July 27, 2023 at Memorial Medical Center.  Born December 3, 1956 in Jersey City, NJ, son of John Henry Hughes, Sr. and Geneva (Perry) Hughes.  Preceded in death by parents, brother John Hughes, Jr. and sister Constance Womack.  Survived by brothers Andrew Hughes, Sr. and Mark Hughes; dear sister in law Loretta Hughes; nephews Andrew Hughes III; Frederick Womack of Chicago; neices Samantha Hughes; Bianca Womack; Tamara Hughes.   Also survived by many other cousins relatives and friends.  Matthew was a cook at the Indiana Country Club, Indiana, PA.  Graduated from Johnstown High School.  He loved hunting and wildlife.  Friends will be received at Picking-Treece-Bennett Mortuary 921 Menoher Blvd. on Saturday from 11 AM till time of service at 1 PM.  Rev Theodore Tisinger officiating,  Interment Grandview Cemetary.
