Obituary

Regina Marie (Blasko) Neff, 90, formerly of Moxham, died June 26, 2023.  Born   May 3, 1933 in Windber, daughter of the late Joseph and Margaret (Wargo) Blasko, also preceded in death by husband George W., Jr., and sisters Betty Blasko and Margie Correll.  She is survived by son, Patrick Neff; daughter Diane Flaaen (Peder); grandsons, Alex Flaaen (Katelyn) and Eric Flaaen; sisters Katie Zankey, Mary Ann Brutts, Sr. Dorothy Ann Blasko, Josie Drzal, and Barbara Gabrovsek, and sister-in-law Janet Neff, and brother-in-law George Criste. A coal-miners daughter, she was a devoted mother and caregiver to family, friends and neighbors, stemming from her 43 years working as a registered nurse in the operating room and trauma unit at CVMH.   She was proud of being the only “leftie” in her family, enjoyed reading, crocheting, doing crafts and puzzle books, traveling, dancing and bowling, and loved her time at the family cottage in Bedford. Friends will be received on Thursday, from 4 PM until the service time at 7 PM, at the Picking-Treece-Bennett Mortuary, 921 Menoher Blvd.
