Robert G. Pasternack

Robert G. Pasternack, 95, Johnstown, died December 6, 2021 at Memorial Medical Center.  Born August 28, 1926 in Johnstown, son of the late George and Mary (Gettler) Pasternack.  Also predeceased by his wife Caroline (Gaboda) Pasternack and sister Helen Pasternack both in 2007 and brother John in 2001. Survived by daughters Laura Maser, (Robert) Morehead City, NC; and Bobbie Clark, (Ken) Houston, TX; and grandson Matthew Frederick(Jamie) Wendell, NC.He was a WW II Navy veteran.  After his military service he was employed by Bethlehem Steel for 31 years in the freight car division.  He was a member of Breezewood VFW and enjoyed pontooning and camping at Prince Gallitzin State Park; gardening, fly fishing; and was an avid photographer.   Bob was also a great Steeler and Penn State fan.  Friends will be received at the Picking-Treece-Bennett Mortuary on Saturday, Dec. 18 from 10 AM until the time of service at 11.  Interment Benshoff Hill Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, contribution to a charity of choice.
