Robert Erin Perry

Robert Erin Perry, 66, Johnstown, went to be with the Lord, September 17, 2021.    He was born December 31, 1954, in Johnstown.  Baby son of the late, Chrisp and Annie Mae (Hodge) Perry.  Gone before him in death, his baby sister, Eloise Perry, residence: Heaven).  Father of surviving son, Robert Perry, Jr, New Mexico.  He is also survived by siblings:  Donna L Thomas, (late husband- Willie), Lancaster, Pa, Chrisp Perry III (wife-Rose Ann), Pittsburgh, Pa, Althea V Jeffers (husband-Charles), Johnstown, Dennis W Perry, Johnstown, Cecelia E Odum, (late husband, Robert (Bobby), Fort Washington, Maryland. He's also survived by a host of nieces and nephews, whom he loved dearly, and special devoted friend, Lexie, Pittsburgh, Pa.  In knowing Robert, you knew of that ‘BIG’ Ole magical smile that showed all ‘52’s with a laugh that sounded like a ‘wood-chuck’. He embodied Kurt Franklin’s song; things are so much better when you “Smile”. He was a happy-spirited guy, known by the Johnstownians, as ‘UNCLE ROB’. Rob was very generous, loving, kind, helpful, and protective; especially of his nieces and nephews- always on the scene watching when they least expected it.  He will be missed by his many nieces, nephews and friends.  Robert served in the United States Marine Corps, a former member of Mt. Sinai Institutional Baptist Church, and was formerly employed by Job Corp. Friends will be received on Saturday at Picking-Treece-Bennett Mortuary, 921 Menoher Blvd., from 11:00 AM until the time of services at noon.
