Robert F. Ritter

Robert F. Ritter, 92, Westmont, died September 25, 2018. Born August 24, 1926, in Johnstown, son of the late Joseph and Anna (Clark) Ritter also preceded in death by his wife, Helen M. (Born) Ritter, in 2012.  Robert is survived by his four children, Anne Strasner of Colorado; Joseph Ritter and wife Janet (Ponchek), Patricia Tresnicky and husband Alan; and Marlene Henry and husband Charles Jr., all of Johnstown, and grandchildren, Marc, Kurt and Michael Strasner; Jamie Hill, Robert Ritter and Michele Walker; Alan II, Paul and Craig Tresnicky; Aaron, Cory and Keith Henry; great-grandchildren;  Blake, Tyler and Ronan Strasner; Amirah and Myles Hill; Broderick, Scarlett and Anniston Ritter; Jace Walker; Chase, Brynn and Solomon Tresnicky; and Blaire Henry.  Robert is also survived by his brother, Eugene Ritter, and wife Irene, Johnstown; and sister-in-law, Ruth and husband Richard Shutty, of Maryland. He retired as a welder at the car shop of Bethlehem Steel after 37 years. He was a member of Austrian Hall; Catholic War Vet’s; Am-Slo and Retired Men’s Club.   Mr. Ritter was a member of Our Mother of Sorrows Church, where the funeral mass will be held 11:00 am on Friday, September 28, the Very Rev. Mark Begly officiating.  Interment at Grandview Cemetery.  Friends will be received Thursday, September 27, from 4-8 at Picking-Treece-Bennett Mortuary, Inc., 921 Menoher Blvd, Johnstown. Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of choice in Robert’s memory.
