Ronald D. Johnson, 85, Westmont, died July 22 at home. Born March 12, 1937, son of the late Oscar and Josephine (Bednarik) Johnson. He is survive by his loving wife of 58 years, Nancy (Orzell) Johnson, and siblings Joanne Bryn, Albert, Elaine McCauliff and Richard (Christine), and numerous nieces and nephews. Ron retired from OMG Americas, where he was the manager of human resources. He served in the 103rd Armor National Guard. Ron had a kind heart and helped anyone in need. He enjoyed his trips to Europe, Hawaii and California with friends making many wonderful memories. He enjoyed working in his backyard and playing golf. He was a member of Windber Country Club where he enjoyed playing golf with his friends, and also enjoyed golfing excursions. He was a faithful member of Moxham Lutheran Church, where he served on council, was a communion assistant, and ministering to the homebound. Friends will be received on Wednesday from 3-7 PM, at Picking-Treece-Bennett Mortuary, 921 Menoher Blvd. Services will be held Thursday at 11AM, at Moxham Lutheran Church, Rev. Rebecca West officiating. Entombment Grandview Cemetery. The family is most appreciative to Interim Healthcare for their compassion and support. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Moxham Lutheran Church.
