Rosie Pearl Myers

October 6, 1935 – January 11, 2026

Rosie Pearl Myers, aged 90,  passed from this life to eternity on January 11, 2026.  Born to her late parents, Mabell and Jesse Walker, she graduated from Barbour County High School in Clayton, AL. Rosie earned an Associate’s degree in Sociology at Daniel Payne College in Birmingham, AL.  She relocated to Johnstown, PA and married her late husband, Willie H. Myers.

Rosie was a passionate disciple of Jesus Christ and devoted her life to ministry with her husband teaching the Bible. She leaves a legacy of spiritually empowering others and serving them practically in the community.

She was also preceded in death by her sisters, Dorothy Leverett, Willie Kate “Kitty” Walker, Lettie “Emma Jean” Ford, Shirley Coleman, Archedelia “Della” Young Lewis, and brothers, Bill Scarver, Melvin Herron, Samuel Herron.

Rosie is survived by children Rosemary Myers, Owings Mills, MD; Willie Myers, Jr. “Teddy”, Johnstown, PA; Celeste Myers, Washington, DC; Beverly Myers, Johnstown, PA; Amos Myers, Carlisle, PA. Sisters, Willie Jean “Nancy” Cain (Louis), Neshanic Station, NJ; Mabel Calloway, Spartanburg, SC; brothers, Lewis “Henry” Herron (Lilly), Blakely, GA; Larry Herron (Bernita), Aurora, CO; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and spiritual sons and daughters.

A celebration of life memorial service is scheduled for Saturday, January 24, 2026@11:00 a.m. at Picking Treece Bennett Mortuary located at 921 Menoher Blvd., Johnstown, PA.  Friends will be received from 10 AM until time of service at 11.
